Job summary
Voith US Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician for 1st shift in Springfield, Oregon. You will disassemble and reassemble paper machine components, reading blueprints and diagrams, using hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities include inspecting parts, machining to specifications, operating forklifts and cranes, and maintaining a clean work area. Previous mechanical rebuild experience and the ability to meet production deadlines are required. Join a safety‑driven team with strong benefits.
Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches and work orders.
- Demonstrated mechanical abilities (millwrighting, machinist).
- Meet production deadlines; may rotate shifts.
- Prolonged standing; lift up to 50-70 pounds; wear PPE.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders and blueprints to determine work required.
- Assemble and disassemble components.
- Inspect parts with precision tools to ensure specs.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane or pickup to move parts.
- Prime or paint parts by hand or spray gun.
- Maintain a clean work area.
