Job summary

Johns Manville is hiring an Industrial Mechanic for our Winder, GA plant. You will troubleshoot equipment, repair production and facilities systems, and strive for maximum efficiency.

The role operates on a 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical repair, welding skills, and the ability to read safety rules and maintenance manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED - technical or vocational certification a plus
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Welding experience and knowledge is required
• Repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings
• Must be able to occasionally lift 75 pounds
• Must be able to work at heights
• Must have own tools
• Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and medical clearance

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $33.19. Position

We are hiring an Industrial Mechanic at our Winder, GA plant. We are searching for individuals who are dependable, responsible and quality-minded who have a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency in the facility. Rotating schedule is a 2-2-3 / 12 hour shifts (days/nights). Must be able to work overtime, holidays and weekends.
