Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responds to service requests as needed utilizing resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety and availability of Arnet systems and equipment.
- Performs the job function in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and governmental regulations.
- Supports Production with machine setups as needed to accomplish daily goals.
- Ensures the plant is clean and free of debris or clutter.
- Operates, adjusts, and performs maintenance on equipment, such as tablet counters, conveyors, printers, cartoners, and other equipment to ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Performs record-keeping functions (CMMS) such as documenting maintenance work performed and recording unusual operating conditions.
- Performs various types of tests on mechanical and electrical equipment (Amperage, Volts, resistance).
- Contributes to the efficiency of the department by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team to accomplish team unit goals, objectives, and activities.
- Understands and learns SOPs, GMP, safety guidelines, and has the ability to complete all required documentation.
- Evaluates equipment and machine operations. Removes and repairs various equipment and components.
- Supports installation of new equipment.
- Repairs hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
- Other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (associate degree, Trade School Certificate and/or Military Technical Training, a plus). Equivalent work experience may be substituted for technical/vocational experience (preferred).
- College or formal technical school education with demonstrated aptitude and skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding techniques. One to two years in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic, preferably in a GMP environment.
- Mechanical or electrical certifications/licenses (preferred).
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Experience repairing industrial pharmaceutical equipment.
- Must have legible handwriting and the ability to perform accurate documentation.
- Must have good basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
