Job summary

Aleron is seeking an Industrial Mechanic / Millwright in Buffalo, NY. Direct employment with hourly pay between $32.00 and $35.00, DOE, 40 hrs/week.

Responsibilities include assembling, testing, servicing, and installing metallurgical processing equipment locally and globally, reading prints, and following schematics. The role requires hands-on mechanical maintenance, welding support (MIG/TIG), crane/rigger experience, and the ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience with hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• 3+ years of experience working on hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly in a manufacturing plant, and millwright work.

Responsibilities

• Read technical instructions and assembly drawings.
• Assemble and assist in the assembly of utility infrastructure and systems.
• Troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist in welding (MIG, TIG, and stick) where qualified.
• Rig own lifts and assist in rigging lifts.
• Perform plumbing tasks: threading, soldering, bending hydraulic tubing.
• Install and troubleshoot at customer sites, domestic or international.
• Coordinate downtime for preventive maintenance with managers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery per manufacturer guidelines.
• Use hand, power, and machine tools to complete assignments.
• Assist the manufacturing team to meet deadlines.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience with hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• 3+ years of experience working on or assembling hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly in a manufacturing plant, and millwright work.

Additional Information

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
• Operates overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes (1-20 ton), and various sizes of forklifts.
• Open to travel to customer site for commissioning/installation.
• Willing to work overtime to help meet deadlines.
• The employee is regularly needed to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear, and talk.
• The employee is frequently needed to use hands.
• The employee occasionally will be needed to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
