Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) seeks a Manufacturing Technical Intern to join our Spokane, WA team.

In this on-site, part-time role you will support advanced manufacturing development, with hands-on participation in alloy melting, casting, and related processes to ensure quality and efficiency while following EH&S policies. You will assist with installing, operating, and maintaining equipment, troubleshoot components, and maintain processing documentation.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn manufacturing techniques including basic principles and safety.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing principles and safety protocols.
• Hands-on machinery operation and equipment maintenance willingness.
• Ability to work in a team with attention to detail and good judgment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move/assemble components.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on installation, operation and maintenance of alloy melting and casting equipment.
• Support in implementing manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting by inspecting components and maintaining docs.
