Tyson Foods in Caseyville is offering a Maintenance Intern position for students actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Automation, Refrigeration, Industrial or Electrical Maintenance. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and electrical systems within a high‑level manufacturing environment.
Multiple shifts are available, with a schedule that includes extended weekends and rotating days to promote work‑life balance.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. Pay is $25.95 Join the Maintenance & Reliability Team at our Caseyville Prepared Foods Plant as a Maintenance Intern! This is the ideal opportunity for a current student that has general knowledge in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, refrigeration and/or automation. We have Multiple Shifts available. Tyson is currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with an $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines. With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products and the expansion will further develop our capabilities. With around the clock operations we offer a creative schedule for our Maintenance & Reliability Team that provides our team members with the ability to have not only time off during the traditional work week (Mon – Fri) but allows for a 3-day weekend every other week (Fri, Sat, Sun). Crews work in Teams and alternate days to allow for an ideal work / home-life balance.
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems by performing the essential job functions. Performs limited facility maintenance tasks as required.
Actively enrolled in an accredited university or technical school seeking a degree or diploma in a Maintenance specific field such as: Mechanical, Automation, Refrigeration, Industrial Maintenance, Production Maintenance, Electrical and maintaining enrollment.
Traditional shift, some weekend work may be required or a rotating schedule where technicians work (3) 12-hour days one week and (4) 12 hour days the next week (alternating a 3 day weekend every‑other week).
