Cerelia USA in Whitehall, Ohio, is hiring! The new, state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to the retail product portfolio, specializing in rolled dough (pizza, pie, pastry) and cookie dough.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work to bring online, calibrate, optimize, and maintain brand-new equipment in a climate-controlled facility. We are GROWING. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on online coverage in assigned areas, utilizing production and maintenance processes and tools. You will assist operations in achieving KPIs by reducing downtime through preventative, corrective, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies and continuous improvements.

Technical Competences

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical concerns of equipment, maintain and improve line equipment integrity and performance, and complete scheduled work orders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and corrective work orders during maintenance windows to prevent mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
  • Develop and improve documented maintenance procedures in the SAP PM database.
  • Implement improvements based on emergent equipment work to prevent recurring failures.
  • Use SAP to create notifications, perform, and confirm work orders.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment in your assigned area, including setup, start-up, adjustments, shutdown, and changeover per company standards.
  • Knowledge of fabricating small machine parts, guards, etc., is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, cylinders, valves, accumulators, compressors, and pipefitting.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems for failures and repairs.

Leadership/Teamwork

  • Coordinate with maintenance and production management on maintenance activities to ensure optimal line efficiency and product quality.
  • Communicate effectively with other shift technicians and work as part of a team.
  • Support the implementation of departmental ideas and suggestions.
  • Maintain good relationships with employees across shifts.
  • Work with the team to optimize product/material sequencing and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and learn from others.
