• Two or more years of mechanic experience or formal training/experience.
• Experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning; welding; electronics; electrical repairs; industrial equipment installations; alignment; start-up repairs.
• High School diploma or GED plus: completion of a 6-9 month vocational/technical degree or equivalent military training or 45 college credits may substitute for vocational/technical training.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/breakdown; repairs/replaces worn parts and motors.
• Operates machine shop equipment and tools; fabricates required parts.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Works effectively as part of a high-functioning team.
• Adheres to company safety rules and policies.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision.

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Performs assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown. Troubleshoots (when necessary). Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
• Operates machine shop equipment, hand tools, power hand tools, and makes required parts when necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Position requires ability to act as a member of a highly functioning team.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
