Job summary

Pilkington Laurinburg plant in Laurinburg, NC is hiring maintenance technicians. The role involves supporting process control systems, repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, and contributing to equipment reliability. Starting pay is between $32.06 and $34.31 per hour, with increases based on skill development.

Position is full-time and direct hire. Lifting up to 50 lbs, overtime, and all shifts required.

Qualifications

• Two years formal education leading to a two-year AAS in industrial technology or related certificates.
• 2–5 years continuous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with an accredited industrial maintenance certificate.
• 5+ years of continuous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on all shifts to identify and correct problems in the process control systems.
• Identify and solve problems in computerized process control equipment including furnace line controls, CNC grinders, plant electrical distribution, subsystems, and robotics.
• Document problems and corrective actions taken.
• Work with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Participate in new equipment planning, installations, and implementation.
• Develop PM tasks to increase equipment reliability.
• Engage in special projects in small teams using problem-solving tools.
• Implement improvements to decrease breakdowns.
