Job summary

ZF in Charleston, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC-related, and hydraulic systems while following safety standards.

Two+ years in an industrial maintenance role are preferred; strong electrical and troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with production-line workflows are essential to support uptime, quality, and safety across the plant.

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance technician role.
Understanding of production-line operations and workflows, including impact on safety, uptime, quality, and output.
Strong electrical skills and knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with communication protocols and escalation procedures during service events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Improves Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by escalating issues to support timely resolution.
Maintains equipment and tools to prevent interruptions and downtime.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC-related, and hydraulic systems during downtime.
Performs preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
Coordinates repairs with outside contractors and evaluates cost-effective options.
