Job summary

3M is hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for the Nevada, MO site. You will diagnose and repair AC/DC motors, drive systems, PLCs, and wiring, while performing preventive maintenance and light fabrication as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of industrial technician experience, with a preference for a related technical degree or an associates in maintenance and automation. Local relocation to Nevada, MO is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of industrial manufacturing technician experience in private, public, government or military environments.
• In lieu of experience, a technical degree in engineering related fields (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Robotics & Automation).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, repair and adjust AC/DC motors and drive systems from fractional to hundreds of horsepower.
• Install and modify control wiring up to 480 volts, following NEC/OSHA safety standards.
• Read and update AC/DC drawings and wiring diagrams per 3M practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and operate shop tools and equipment.
