Job summary

JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our manufacturing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and control systems, and support automation equipment to ensure smooth production operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with PLCs, HMIs, and 480V 3-phase equipment, and a strong problem-solving mindset. On-site role with opportunities to optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand manuals and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and instructions.
• Knowledge of basic power tools and testing equipment.
• Hands-on volt meters and testing gear experience.
• Ability to solve maintenance problems on automation equipment and controls.
• Must be able to work with PLCs and HMIs; basic programming for drives.
• Experience troubleshooting up to 480V 3-phase equipment.
• Experience with control circuits and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to keep machines running smoothly.
• Develop and refine preventive maintenance procedures.
• Maintain automation equipment to design standards.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair defective circuitry and electronics.
• Install equipment to improve operations efficiency.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders; MIG/TIG welding as needed.
• Use machine data to analyze performance and adjust as needed.
• Understand operation of equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Repair electrical and pneumatic devices; maintain RO/DI water systems.
