Job summary

Udelhoven Oilfield System Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician / Laborer to support operations at the Formosa Plastics facility in Port Lavaca, TX.

The role focuses on general maintenance, repairs, and labor tasks to keep plant operations safe, efficient, and reliable in a fast-paced industrial environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Active TWIC card required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, general labor, or manufacturing environment.
• Formosa Plastics experience a plus.
• Ability to work safely in chemical/industrial setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand/power tools.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor mechanical work.
• Assist preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Support facility housekeeping, material handling, and waste management activities.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to minimize downtime and maintain compliance.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of tasks performed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant reliability and production goals.
