Job summary

AKHIRE is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Anchorage, AK. You will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and plant equipment, and provide maintenance support during startups, shutdowns, and outages.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance or equipment repair experience, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card. A full benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; Technical or college-level education preferred.
• 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance or equipment repair experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, piping, valves, HVAC, plumbing, brazing, controls preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and pass background/drug screen.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and plant equipment.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and assist with unexpected equipment repairs.
• Provide maintenance support during plant startups, shutdowns, and outages.
• Work with equipment including pumps, valves, tanks, piping systems, and monitoring components.
• Diagnose equipment concerns and communicate maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with equipment installation, removal, testing, and return to service.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, safety, and quality records.
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed.
