Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their 1st shift team in the United States. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and keep packaging lines running efficiently.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing assemblies and line changeovers, and maintaining safe, clean work areas. OT may be required as production demands fluctuate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial equipment.
• Experience with farming equipment or automotive mechanics is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED; technical cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform routine preventive maintenance; inspect, monitor, and test equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot and execute emergency repairs across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle defective machines; install new or rebuilt components quickly and correctly.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and related moving parts.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and associated hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related hardware.
• Develop a deep working knowledge of all production machinery to ensure proper operating procedures.
• Perform product changeovers, including precise setup of the dilution system to target specifications.
• Adhere to safety policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO); maintain exemplary housekeeping in all work areas.
• Notify the Production Manager and Plant Manager of equipment issues; analyze and resolve problems or assist teammates to do so promptly.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

A Day in This Role

It’s 7:00 a.m. on 1st shift. After a quick safety huddle, you scan the day’s work orders and lock out a conveyor line to begin preventive maintenance. You inspect bearings, check VFD parameters, and lubricate gears. A call comes in: a hydraulic issue is slowing a palletizer. You diagnose, swap a faulty valve, and get the line running. Before lunch, you complete a line changeover and dial in the dilution system specs for the next product. In the afternoon, you help Production and the Plant Manager assess a recurring fault, document the root cause, and return the area to perfect housekeeping. If production spikes, you’re ready for some OT.

Schedule, Pay & Bonus

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (overtime as needed)

Compensation: $30–$32 per hour DOE, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED (technical certification preferred).
• At least 2 years maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Background with farming equipment or automotive mechanics is a plus.
