Job summary

Carmeuse North America in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Maintenance 3 technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections across processing equipment. You will work with loaders, cranes, kilns, and conveyors while following strict safety protocols and on-call rotations.

A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, with a Millwright program offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Millwright certification program may be offered to qualify for advancement.
• Experience in industrial maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weekly execution of Preventative Maintenance equipment inspections and repairs.
• Daily repair and rebuild work (scheduled and reactive).
• Daily visual inspection of equipment such as crushing, kiln, hydrator, packaging, belts and conveyors.
• Perform kiln outage work including refractory work and mechanical fabrication.
• Inspect and operate mobile equipment like loader, forklift, crane and manlift as needed.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production with minimal supervision.
• Maintain maintenance and inventory/parts documentation and records.
• Monitor work for compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Report issues to Maintenance Supervisor as they arise.
• Must be able to operate maintenance tools and perform on-call duties if required.
• Weekly shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime.
