Job summary

Cavco Manufacturing LLC in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Maintenance Associate to repair, install, and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility systems. You will follow blueprints and specifications using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and measuring instruments to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, dismantling and repairing components, and performing preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading are advantageous.
Repair work experience preferred.
Physical strength and good hand-eye coordination required.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test machinery with electrical and electronic test equipment.
Listen for unusual sounds to diagnose issues and discuss operation variations with supervisors.
Dismantle defective machines and install parts per blueprints using precision tools.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
Repair and maintain physical structure of the establishment.
May operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
May fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
Assess procedures and recommend improvements.
