Aerotek is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a large industrial manufacturing facility in Spokane, WA. You will perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant equipment, focusing on preventive maintenance and safe operations.

Qualifications

Experience as maintenance technician in industrial/manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to work on mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production machinery.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
Ability to disassemble and rebuild multiple types of industrial equipment accurately and safely.
Experience cutting, welding, and fabricating components as part of maintenance work.
Experience using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools in an industrial setting.
Ability to work any shift and remain flexible to varying schedules, including on-call work, weekends, nights, and overtime as required.
Comfort with large machinery and operating heavy equipment when needed.
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Strong troubleshooting including basic electrical troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
Capability to support LEAN implementation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, installations, repairs, and rebuilds on plant equipment by reading manuals and drawings.
Complete emergency repairs to minimize downtime and keep operations running.
Conduct preventative maintenance and routine checks on production equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control problems and implement repairs.
Use hoists, lift trucks, and power tools safely for maintenance tasks.
Cut, weld, and fabricate parts as needed for repair or modification.
Splice belts and repair conveyor chains as required.
Use cutting equipment to modify components and remove damaged parts.
Disassemble and reassemble various equipment with proper alignment.
Identify irregularities with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting methods.
Support LEAN initiatives and maintain documentation of work performed.
