Position Overview

The Polymer Center Technician Lead provides leadership to a team of technicians, ensuring repairs and maintenance of equipment comply with safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex repairs, coaching junior technicians, inspecting repairs for safety, and scheduling work to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and schedule maintenance to reduce downtime on equipment such as conveyors, screens, reducers, balers, optical sorting units, and more.
  2. Repair or replace parts via work orders and complete service reports.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with advanced diagnostics.
  4. Maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  5. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance.
  6. Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, providing training and guidance.
  7. Coordinate with supervisors, operators, and vendors.
  8. Perform welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance.
  9. Use HMI systems for monitoring and control.
