Job summary

Marlin Steel Wire Products in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation and reliability of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety procedures are followed in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with the maintenance and production

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Basic welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following established procedures.
• Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical issues involving bearings, motors, gearboxes, chains, belts, rollers, shafts, valves, cylinders, and related industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, adjust, and maintain production equipment.
• Install, repair, and replace machine components and wear parts.
• Support equipment moves, machine installations, and facility improvement projects.
• Perform basic fabrication, grinding, drilling, cutting, and repair work as needed.
• Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and equipment condition.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate repair status effectively.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
