JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $25 - $35 per hour plus $1.50 per hour

Rotational Day Shift: 6am-6pm or 5am-5pm (2-3-2)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment, tracking usage, and ordering replacement parts. Key duties include:

  1. Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  2. Perform detailed setup on equipment, including recipe changes and control adjustments.
  3. Repair and maintain mechanical machine components to ensure optimal operation.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance tasks following instructions, ranging from simple to complex.
  5. Understand electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance.
  6. Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, photo eyes, and field devices.
  7. Understand electrical safety, motor control circuits, programmable drives, and troubleshoot PLC inputs and outputs.
  8. Complete projects involving electrical circuits, controls, new equipment, and machine relocations.
  9. Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including cylinders and other components.
  10. Enter all work into the computer-based maintenance system.
  11. Monitor and report on spare parts usage, including completing parts order forms.
  12. Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data in collaboration with QA.
  13. Train new and Level 1 mechanics in complex tasks and skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
  • Adherence to safety policies and commitment to quality.
  • Availability for standby, off-hours, and emergency overtime.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to attend training, including out-of-state sessions.
  • Ability to assist in training Level I Technicians.
  • Intermediate fabrication skills (welding, basic machining).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical graphics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, maintaining cooperative relationships.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Physical Demands

The physical requirements include strength, stamina, and mobility for heavy physical work, exposure to hazards, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds with proper equipment. The role involves walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, standing, sitting, and climbing, with specific vision requirements.

Work Environment

Primarily in a manufacturing facility with moving parts, forklifts, noise, and airborne dust. Personal protective equipment is required based on the work area.
