Qualifications

JOB DETAILS

Rotational Day Shift: 6am-6pm

Pay Range starts at $30-$40 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.

  1. Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  2. Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
  3. Repair and maintain mechanical machine components in top operating condition
  4. Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  5. Understand electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance
  6. Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  7. Understand electrical safety, motor control circuits, and programmable drives
  8. Troubleshoot PLC inputs and outputs and repair issues
  9. Complete projects involving electrical circuits, controls, new equipment, and machine relocations
  10. Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders and other components
  11. Enter all work completed into computer-based maintenance programs
  12. Monitor and report spare parts usage and complete parts order forms
  13. Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and collaborate with QA
  14. Train new and Level 1 mechanics in complex tasks and skills

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a related field (desired)
  • Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
  • Adherence to safety policies and commitment to quality
  • Availability for standby, off-hours, and emergency overtime
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Willingness to attend training, including out-of-state
  • Ability to assist in training Level I Technicians
  • Intermediate fabrication skills (welding, basic machining)
  • Strong work ethic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and graphics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, maintaining positive relationships
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime

Physical Demands

  • Must have strength, stamina, and mobility for heavy physical work, including lifting up to 90 pounds
  • Regularly walk, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, stand, and sit; occasionally climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required include near, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustments
  • Exposure to variable temperatures and potentially hazardous conditions

Work Environment

Primarily a manufacturing facility with moving parts, forklifts, noise, dust, powders, and fumes. Personal protective equipment required based on tasks.
