Flowers Foods in Hampton Roads area seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain equipment across our bakery operations. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with safety and quality as top priorities, rotate assignments, and pursue ongoing training to keep pace with evolving technologies.

The role requires climbing ladders up to 20 feet, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with hands-on work around boilers and machinery.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a technician in HVAC, welding, industrial equipment or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification a plus.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around machinery in a bakery setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection, general shop practices and preventive maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering and pipe fittings.
• Identify and inspect mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Rebuild mechanical drive components such as clutches and brakes.
• Verify and correct mechanical timing and lubrication needs.
• Identify wear and troubleshoot and replace drive and conveyor components.
• Use SAP for parts checkout, reporting and data entry.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow company policies.
• Perform duties necessary to meet schedules and attendance policies.
• Possess or attain licenses for boilers, refrigeration components and related equipment.
