JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $28-$33 per hour

1st Shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Technician III is an electro-mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment, including recipe changes and control adjustments
  • Repair and maintain mechanical machine components
  • Understand electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Maintain electrical safety standards and motor control circuits, including programmable drives
  • Troubleshoot PLC inputs and outputs and resolve related issues
  • Complete projects involving new electrical circuits, controls, and equipment relocation
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as instructed
  • Document all work in the computer-based maintenance system
  • Monitor spare parts usage and manage parts ordering
  • Adjust equipment based on SPC data in collaboration with QA
  • Train Level I and II technicians in advanced tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-7 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
  • Commitment to safety policies and quality standards
  • Availability for standby, off-hours, and emergency overtime
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Willingness to attend training, including out-of-state
  • Ability to train Level I and II technicians
  • Intermediate fabrication skills (welding, machining)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and work ethic
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical graphics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, maintaining good relationships with colleagues, vendors, and contractors
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility for heavy physical work, using tools, driving vehicles, and handling materials up to 90 pounds. Must be able to walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform visual tasks, with exposure to variable temperatures and conditions.

  • Lift and move heavy materials with proper equipment
  • Perform frequent standing, sitting, and occasional climbing or balancing
  • Have specific vision abilities including close, color, peripheral, and depth perception

Work Environment

Primarily a manufacturing setting with moving parts, forklifts, noise, and airborne dust. PPE required based on tasks.
