Job summary

Amentum seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our multi-skilled team in a manufacturing facility in Waukesha, WI. The role focuses on inspections, lubrication, minor repairs, and data gathering for predictive maintenance, in collaboration with the Reliability Engineer.

Responsibilities include PM and predictive maintenance per CMMS, operating diagnostic tools, and maintaining a strict safety standard with PPE and LOTO procedures. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of industrial experience is required.
  • Ability to perform inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and check sprockets, chains, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanisms.
  • Perform lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and preventive maintenance per CMMS schedules.
  • Gather data for predictive maintenance analyses (oil, vibration, ultrasound, infrared).
  • Work with Reliability Engineer to ensure PM work orders are completed on time.
  • Operate PC with Microsoft Office and diagnostic hardware.
  • Wear PPE and follow safety guidelines (LOTO, JHA).
  • Possess flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Job description

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Waukesha, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections
  • Check sprockets, chains, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanisms in an industrial production setting
  • Perform lubrication
  • Perform cleaning
  • Perform filter changes
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Gather data for predictive maintenance technologies including oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasound analysis, and infrared thermography analysis
  • Work in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer to ensure all Predictive Maintenance work orders are completed on time and correctly
  • Perform corrective actions from findings generated from Predictive Maintenance technologies
  • Inspect and receive new Lubricant deliveries
  • Operate a PC with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in CMMS
  • Perform predictive maintenance as scheduled in CMMS
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance
  • Safely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required
  • Operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work
  • Maintain a strict schedule, demonstrating flexibility in day‑to‑day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
  • 1-3 Years of industrial experience and knowledge
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift
  • Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, and kneel repetitively during shift
  • Move in a 90‑degree fashion on a repetitive basis during shift
  • Stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift
  • Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift
  • Use a company/client approved utility knife
  • Differentiating colors pertaining to wire color‑coding
  • Perform repetitive wrist movements
  • Interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress
Special Requirements
  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment as needed
  • Cope with demands (stressors) associated with the job and/or work environment to maintain acceptable performance levels and overall contribution
Other Attributes
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • May be required to work holidays and weekends
Compensation Details

Hourly rate: $25-$33
