GAF in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and critical equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, install replacement parts, and ensure proper operation of all machinery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus 2‑year industrial mechanics training or equivalent experience, and MTII test clearance.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree in industrial mechanics with 1 year of experience OR 5 years industrial mechanic experience.
• Must pass MTII test.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive maintenance through inspection of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install or replace new or reconditioned repair parts.
• Test equipment for proper operation.
• Operate lifting devices.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Work with minimal supervision and communicate progress to supervisor.
• Collaborate with maintenance team, controls specialists and engineers to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and use time efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
