Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA seeks a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment on the warehouse floor.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordinating with contractors, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires hands-on work around heavy machinery and adherence to PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates mechanical and technical aptitude.
• 3-5 years experience in industrial maintenance.
• Formal degree or certificate in a technical area required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Physically able to stand, bend, lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Able to use basic measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical problems and repair equipment promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform minor repairs.
• Dismantle and install equipment as needed.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Supervise outside contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Support health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
• Wear PPE as required and work safely on warehouse floor.
