Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and facilities. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to lean practices within a safety‑sensitive environment in Washington state.

The position requires 3–5 years in an industrial maintenance setting, a technical degree or certificate, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Safety sensitive role; pre-employment drug testing required.
• 3–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance on all machinery/equipment in the facility.
• Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
