JOB DETAILS
Base Pay starts at $24-$25 plus $1 per hour shift differential
Night Shift: 6 pm - 5 am (Saturday - Tuesday)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance Technician I is primarily an apprenticeship position with responsibilities including setting up equipment, repairing equipment, and ordering replacement parts.
- Support manufacturing operations by responding to maintenance calls and completing simple repairs.
- Troubleshoot all equipment in a timely manner; call for additional support on complex problems.
- Learn and support manufacturing equipment recipe changes and control adjustments.
- Understand and maintain/adjust basic drive train and power train components.
- Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions.
- Start up and shut down equipment per established procedures and schedules.
- Enter all work completed in a computer-based maintenance program.
- Monitor and report spare parts usage, including completing parts order forms.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In progress of obtaining an Associate Degree in a related field (desired)
- Minimum 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge in mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Willing to attend training sessions, including out-of-state locations
- Basic understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits
- Basic understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance)
- Familiar with electrical measurement devices (voltage meters, micrometers)
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
- Ability to use Windows-based software programs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow directives from senior technicians and supervision
- Preferred: experience with metal fabrication and welding
- Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
- Flexible and willing to work various maintenance shifts
- Willing to attend training, including out-of-state travel
