Job summary

Gwinnett County Government seeks a Trades Technician to perform journeyman duties on highly specialized water treatment equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Qualifications

• Experience in industrial equipment maintenance or related field.
• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trades.
• Experience with water or wastewater treatment equipment and basic electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues across complex systems.
• Lead, mentor or direct other staff as needed in repair/replacement tasks.
