Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Manchester, PA seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues, and support safe, efficient operations while keeping detailed records and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, testing, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
• Support plant shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
• Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
