Watco Houston is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment operates at peak performance. You will install, repair, and service heavy machinery while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The role supports 24/7 operations with day and night shifts at 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015. A strong mechanical background, welding and fabrication skills, and commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• TWIC credential is required or able to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 5+ years advanced-level experience in breakdown industrial and production maintenance preferred.
• Extensive experience in mechanics, conveyor systems, pneumatics, welding and metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including conveyors, wheel loaders, and other industrial machinery.
• Perform maintenance, repair and servicing to keep equipment at peak performance.
• Communicate mechanical issues to team members and supervisors promptly.
• Maintain safety standards and accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and analyze technical problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Schedule: Operations run 24/7. This position works Monday through Sunday with both day and night schedules.

Location: 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be the responsible for ensuring equipment operations remain at peak performance, with minimal downtime. You will support and maintain responsibility for the efficient installation, repair, and servicing of the equipment that you will be operating on a day-to-day. This role will require the ability to maintain regular communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work in an environment that prioritizes safety and efficiency.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate primarily heavy equipment including but not limited to conveyors, scraper systems, wheel loaders, motor graders and other similar mechanical and industrial machinery
• Apply expert-level knowledge of mechanical work, welding and metal fabrication, and other industrial fields to service and repair equipment
• Follow and apply safety standards prioritizing quality and efficiency while working well independently or with others and demonstrating a sense of urgency and purpose
• Communicate mechanical issues and complex maintenance issues to team members, management and other required and relevant internal stakeholders as needed, in a timely manner
• Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and analyze technical problems effectivelyEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; report potential safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Extensive experience and expert proficiency in mechanics, conveyor systems, pneumatics, welding and metal fabrication, and commercial building maintenance and conveyor systems including the ability to troubleshoot preferred
• Minimum 5 years advanced-level experience in breakdown industrial and production maintenance preferred

Education

High School or GED equivalent
