Job summary

AgCertain Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Boone, IA to ensure safe and smooth manufacturing operations. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, routine inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will update SOPs, train maintenance staff, inspect facilities, perform repairs, and manage parts inventory while adhering to GMP and NFPA safety standards. Training and weekend/overtime readiness are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with basic reading/writing and math skills.
• OSHA 10hr and NFPA 70E preferred certifications.
• Experience with pumps, motors, and HVAC systems is preferred.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or ISO-certified production facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments.
• Update maintenance SOPs and provide proper training for maintenance personnel.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify issues, and maintain maintenance records.
• Perform repairs and installation activities with timely completion.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and place orders for replacements as needed.
• Prioritize and process maintenance work orders addressing repairs, deficiencies, or improvements.
• Apply GMP and understand maintenance processes with respect to food safety.
• Participate in all company trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
