Job summary

Tenneco Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Arlington, TX, to perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and facility equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and ensure smooth operation of all systems, with attention to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, maintaining records, and supporting production with flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prefer 5 years of mechanical or electrical industrial experience.
• Able to differentiate colors and work safely.
• Able to read and understand written materials.
• Able to meet production standards.
• Able to hear and follow oral instructions.
• Able to inspect work to maintain quality.
• Able to use hand tools and operate Tool & Die equipment.
• Able to work in tight spaces and difficult-to-reach places.
• Able to read electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
• Able to program and adjust Fanuc and Motoman robots for welding and material handling.
• Demonstrated understanding of machine electrical systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with fork trucks and aerial lift devices.
• Basic computer skills (email, tablet, MS Office).
• Advanced PLC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of industrial machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions or breakdowns.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities in electronic work orders system.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with professionalism.
• Adhere to plant policies and quality standards.
• Be flexible with traditional and non-traditional hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
