Job summary
AOC Metal Works in Chester, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems. You will address breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in the CMMS to support safe, reliable operations.
The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, reading schematics and manuals, and strong teamwork with Production and Quality.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and basic drawings.
- Experience with sensors, motors, PLCs; willingness to learn advanced skills.
- Safety-focused with lockout/tagout and proper PPE usage.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment (laser, punches, presses, coating, conveyors).
- Perform preventive maintenance and document work in CMMS.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and test equipment before return to production.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and improvements as directed.
- Maintain orderly tool/parts storage and communicate shortages.
