Position Summary:

This role involves performingmaintenanceand repairs on equipment and machinery used in the recycling process. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of industrialmaintenanceand a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field. Training will be provided, but candidates should have some mechanical ortechnical aptitude.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventivemaintenanceon recycling equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct minor repairs on conveyors, motors, shredders, and other recycling machinery.
  • Help maintain the facility’s overall cleanliness and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Monitor machinery performance and alert seniortechnicians or managers about any potential issues.
  • Keep accurate records ofmaintenanceactivities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Work collaboratively with othermaintenancestaff and operators to minimize downtime and maintain a highlevelof productivity.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and/or industrialmaintenanceknowledge or experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various environmental conditions, and operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work in an environment with varying temperatures and noiselevels.
