Job summary

Prudential Overall Supply is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Commerce, CA for a full-time role. The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and install industrial systems in an industrial/cleanroom setting.

Experience reading blueprints, hydraulics/pneumatics, and operation of boilers or wastewater systems is valued. Military experience is encouraged, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Some experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial or cleanroom environment. Applicable military experience strongly considered.
Proficient in the proper use of power tools, forklifts, manlifts, and hand tools.
Proficient in reading blueprints, electrical wiring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other diagrams.
Highschool Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior Experience in the assignment of tasks and goals is preferred.
Experience in boiler operation, wastewater processing, HVAC system operation, and general facility repair.
Prior experience operating and/or maintaining industrial washers, dryers, steam tunnels, automated folders, conveyors, boilers, overhead hoists, and reverse osmosis water treatment equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

Performing preventative maintenance, repairing, and installing industrial equipment, water systems, and other industrial systems.
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with guidance from Plant Management.
Perform carpentry, painting, custodial, and other general facility maintenance.
Participation in safety committee to maintain and promote a culture of safe practices
Must be able to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely and safe manner.
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Working with other employees in a cooperative and professional way.
Ability to work off shift hours or weekends to accomplish special projects and overhauls.
