Job summary

The Weir Group in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician - Electrical on-site for 1st shift. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment including 480VAC electricals, PLCs, sensors, and VFDs within a union environment.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and safety while documenting activities in SAP CMMS. Required are strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, and

Qualifications

• Proven production maintenance experience with strong mechanical skills and electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs including troubleshooting, code edits, and sensor maintenance.
• Proficient with SAP CMMS and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair production and ancillary equipment including electrical (480VAC), pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyors, lighting, motors, pumps, and VFDs; install new electricals as needed.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and perform sensor adjustments; participate in Lean and Kaizen improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and vendors to ensure timely repairs and parts.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment history in SAP CMMS; uphold safety standards.
