Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a Maintenance Technician on the day shift to keep our industrial machinery and equipment operating smoothly. You will diagnose issues and perform repairs on engines, motors, conveyors, and production hardware using hand and power tools, precision instruments, and manufacturer specifications.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a solid knowledge of general shop tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
1–3 years of related experience and/or training with production processes, machines and/or tools.
Thorough knowledge of general shop tools and equipment required in maintenance procedures.
Perform work requiring continual attention to detail in follow-through, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Observe and diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustment or repair.
Dismantle machines to inspect parts for defects and replace/repair as needed.
Replace defective parts using hand tools and machine tools.
Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with other maintenance staff.
Adjust devices and control instruments using hand tools and measuring devices.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines as scheduled.
Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate quality or performance.
Take corrective action during emergencies such as power or equipment failures.
Assist with or direct work in building modifications or plant/office layout changes.
