Prairie Farms Dairy is seeking an experienced Maintenance professional in Jefferson City, MO. The role focuses on repairing mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems across processing and packaging lines, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

You will work with boilers, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems, performing diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements. The job requires adherence to blueprints, diagrams, and manuals, and demands strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Heli-Arc welding.
• Experience in Programmable Logic Control.
• Familiarity with ammonia systems used for refrigeration, boilers, and air compressors.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic components of equipment following blueprints, wiring diagrams and specs using hand tools, power tools, welders, and measuring instruments.
• Visually inspects and listens to machines to locate causes of malfunctions.
• Dismantles machines to access problem areas and inspects parts for wear or misalignment.
• Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems.
• Realigns and adjusts components using diagrams.
• Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes and installs new piping.
• Starts machines to test operation after repair.
• Repairs broken parts with brazing, soldering, and welding.
• May modify computer-controlled functions on equipment.
• Work with boilers, refrigeration, hydraulic, air, electrical systems in the plant.
• Fill out written reports.
