Job summary

Jennmar is seeking a Maintenance Technician with industrial/precast-concrete experience to join our team in Monroe, NC. The role offers hands-on work, steady hours, and overtime opportunities to grow technical skills and contribute to safe, reliable production.

You will install, maintain, and repair plant equipment, follow safety programs (LOTO, NFPA 70E), and keep detailed maintenance records. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical certification preferred.
• At least two years of maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• NFPA 70E training.
• Familiarity with LOTO and confined-space safety programs.
• Basic PLC understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair machinery, motors, and components.
• Follow safety programs including LOTO and confined space procedures.
• Inspect for hazards and faults; report or correct promptly.
• Keep maintenance shop organized; manage tools and logs.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs.
• Support site 5S and housekeeping initiatives.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate and weld metal assemblies when needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
• Assist with facility maintenance (lighting, plumbing, building systems).
• Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.
