Job description

$6,000 Sign-on Bonus

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience with:
• Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems
• Knowledge of electrical control systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, including air compressors
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used in repairs and servicing
• Ability to diagnose defects and repair various equipment and vehicles
• Experience with a Multi-Meter

Job Summary: The Plant Maintenance Technician monitors and maintains all plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. The technician responds to system failures, performs repairs, and ensures safety and efficiency, reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager.

Essential Duties:

• Perform repairs in compliance with Safety and OSHA standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on major equipment
• Maintain equipment backlog and ensure quality of third-party repairs
• Recommend improvements for production and equipment performance
• Handle emergency breakdowns and perform service calls
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with safety standards

Qualifications:

• Education: Not required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physical tasks with or without accommodations
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug and physical tests
• Proficient in welding and fabrication
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems
• Ability to operate tools and diagnose equipment defects
• Technicians must provide their own basic tools

Work Environment: Includes physical activity such as lifting, bending, working from ladders, and exposure to dirt, noise, weather, and other elements typical of recycling and maintenance facilities.
