Job summary

Rockdale Manufacturer in Rockdale, IL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and troubleshoot issues with the aim of reducing downtime.

A family-owned Rockdale manufacturer is seeking motivated Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their growing team on 3rd shift. • 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs as needed
• Assist with continuous improvement projects to reduce equipment downtime
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance protocols

Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role in a manufacturing setting. Candidates must be comfortable:

• Working around machinery and production equipment
• Standing, walking, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and performing physical labor
• Lifting 50+ lbs occasionally
• Working in hot and cold temperatures
• Working in a greasy environment with strong odors

Qualifications

Required:

• 1+ years of mechanical maintenance experience OR trade school training
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment

Preferred:

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
