Job summary

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to support building and industrial maintenance at our Pleasant Hill, MO facility.

You will work on production machinery and facility systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance as part of a safety-conscious team. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/plumbing systems, and the ability to read manuals and work orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ maintenance and repair experience, including operating industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, sketches, and work orders.
• Safe use of hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate power-driven equipment safely in support of maintenance activities.
• Install, maintain and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
• Perform basic machining tasks as needed to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs during production and complete scheduled maintenance and repairs during planned equipment service.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry and other general facility maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders and technical documentation to perform required maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machinery and equipment.
• Independently resolve routine and complex work-related problems and provide recommendations to supervisory personnel regarding technical issues or unusual circumstances.
• May serve as the lead on assigned maintenance or repair projects, coordinating work activities as needed.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician 2 will perform or assist in a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and manual tasks in Building & Industrial Maintenance.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology or a related field required; completion of a relevant skilled-trades apprenticeship preferred.
