Job summary

Highland Baking Company in Northbrook, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will keep the Northbrook facility operational and safe, with a focus on proactive maintenance and rapid response to issues.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial maintenance/millwright experience, proficiency across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance millwright and electrical experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime when required.
• Proficiency in electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, and related systems.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Comfort with heights, heat, and extreme cold.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations and safety in the Northbrook facility.
• Lead preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
• Cross-train in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic areas.
• Operate computerized maintenance systems for diagnostics and records.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
