  • 2+ years of VFD or PLC experience.

  • Robotics experience is a plus.
  • Ammonia experience is a plus.

Job Description: Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to provide essential support in maintaining continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, assisting with breakdowns, and addressing various mechanical issues across the plant. You will also be responsible for minor repairs and assisting in major equipment overhauls.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors, conveyors, and belting systems.
  • Operate forklifts and fork trucks as needed.
  • Change drive belts, timing belts, filters, oils, packing/mechanical seals, and gaskets in all machinery.
  • Maintain water chemistry in necessary systems.
  • Identify and replace bearings and seals as required.
  • Troubleshoot both AC and DC circuits and components, including VFDs and PLC hardware.
  • Perform welding tasks using TIG, MIG, and arc welding on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Repair and replace vari-drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of VFD or PLC experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience with schematics and reading electrical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with 3-phase motors and control circuits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Maintenance technical degree.
  • Preventative maintenance experience.
  • Ammonia experience is a plus.
  • Robotics experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic plant/assembly line environment that is food-grade and maintains a temperature of over 60 degrees. Available shifts include A Shift (overnight): Sunday 7pm-7:30am; Monday-Thursday 11pm-7:30am, with overtime, weekend, and holiday work as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clive, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $33.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Life Insurance, and more.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Clive, IA.
