Heartland Farms, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant machinery, focusing on hydraulic and mechanical systems. You will read schematics, perform diagnostics, and support continuous production with a hands-on approach.

This on-site role requires welding skills (ARC, MIG, TIG), familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, and VFD drives, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Schedule is Tue–Sat days; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in machine repair, maintenance, or electrical systems.
• Formal welding training in ARC, MIG, TIG.
• Experience with A/C, D/C motors, motor controls, and VFD drives.
• Strong ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Capability to work on-site and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
• Must have valid driver's license and be able to work in a team.

The Industrial Maintenance Technicians role will emphasize the repairing and maintaining of plant equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing hydraulic equipment, mechanical systems and equipment throughout the facility. Ensures production equipment is maintained to maximize machine productivity and minimize downtime.Core ResponsibilitiesSets up, installs, repairs, and maintains plant machinery and equipment.Troubleshoots and repairs machines and equipment.Uses work order system to initiate and track repairs.Welds/cuts/grinds metals for repair/ light fabrication.Reads and works from electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, maintenance manuals, and parts lists to repair and install equipment.Utilizes multimeters and test equipment as required.Installs/moves machines, equipment, and required electrical equipment.Assists in training of less experienced maintenance personnel.Rebuilds/modifies machines and equipment as required.Safely performs work using ladders and lifts as required.Accepts and supports the safety program.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPossess diagnostic and repair skills with understand of mechanical and hydraulic functions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read mechanical drawing, hydraulic and electrical schematics.Ability to read and efficiently use a wide range of precision mechanical measurement devices.Ability to work in a team environment.Possess basic computer and technology skills.Ability to quickly learn new concepts and techniques.Possess basic application of industrial electoral distribution and motor control circuits and resolve complex electrical problems.Ability to safely operate heavy equipment including but not limited to tractors, skid steers, payloaders, etc.Education and ExperienceCombined 3+ years of machine repair, maintenance, or electrical systems experience.Formal training in ARC, MIG, TIG welding.Experience in A/C, D/C., motor controls, and VFD drives.Experience with Automation, PLCs I/O, HMI interface, and Ethernet preferred.Advanced education in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, or machine design is strongly preferred.Must have a valid and current drivers license with a clean record.High School Diploma required.Physical RequirementsRequires the ability to work on-site and in multiple locations and settings.Requires the ability to clearly understand verbal and written communication from others in person and by telephone.Requires the ability to climb and work from ladders and other elevated platforms to inspect, assess, and diagnose rinsing, sorting, conveying and loading equipment.Must be a minimum of 18 years old.Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects weighing 25–50 pounds.Work ScheduleThis position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, generally from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.The Plant operates seven days per week, and occasional overtime, evening, weekend, or off-day work may be required based on production needs, equipment repairs, workload, or seasonal coverage needs.CompensationThe fulltime Industrial Maintenance Technician position offers a competitive pay rate of $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.Work Location & CommuteHeartland Farms, Inc. is located at 907 3rd Avenue, Hancock, WI 54943, in Adams County near the border of Waushara County.The facility is approximately:Less than 20-minutes from Bancroft, Coloma, or Plainfield.About 30 minutes from Adams, Almond, Necedah, Nekoosa, Wautoma, Westfield, or Wild Rose.About 35-40 minutes from Red Granite, Stevens Point, or Wisconsin Rapids.With Heartland Farms, Inc., you will work as part of a high performing agricultural organization where team members collaborate to get the job done and challenge the status quo to find a better way.
