Job summary

Cascades in Tacoma, WA is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support on-floor production with a focus on maintaining and improving equipment reliability. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot/mechanically repair production equipment, perform daily maintenance, and document activities in SAP. A strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required, along with a commitment to HACCP,

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or large industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (troubleshooting and basic diagnostics preferred).
• Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
• Perform necessary mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
• Conduct daily maintenance and safety audits
• Communicate effectively with maintenance team members, leadership, and production staff
• Complete and maintain accurate maintenance documentation
• Enter and track maintenance activities (Work Orders) within SAP
• Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Follow all Food Safety requirements in accordance with the HACCP Plan
• Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness in alignment with 5S standards
• Perform all duties in a safe and compliant manner
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management

What you’ll do

As a Industrial Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day:

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
