Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a maintenance technician responsible for electrical equipment upkeep, calibration, and preventive maintenance. You will work with the Plant Engineer, coordinate with production teams, and support safety initiatives in a rotating shift environment.

The role requires a two-year degree in Industrial Electronics or equivalent experience, strong leadership, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrate the skills necessary to train personnel.
• Willingness to further develop skill base with continuing experience and professional training.
• Must demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships.
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment and report equipment concerns as required by the Plant Engineer.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and maintain proper records.
• Calibrate electrical equipment and maintain proper records.
• Adhere to electrical policies, practices and procedures as defined by the Plant Engineer.
• Promote safety awareness and keep safety as a priority daily.
• Promote a teamwork-oriented working environment.
• Repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Assist Engineering in new equipment installation and existing equipment modifications.
• Basic programming of PLCs and related equipment.
• Coordinate with production and converting departments for timely repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with the electrical department with the Plant Engineer.
• Standby call for equipment problems at night and weekends on a rotating basis.
• Additional job functions as defined by management.

Job description

• Responsible for the preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same.
• Responsible for the calibration of electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same.
• Responsible for adhering to electrical policies, practices and procedures as defined by the Plant Engineer.
• Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis.
• Responsible for promoting a working environment that incorporates a teamwork philosophy.
• Responsible for the repair of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Responsible for assisting the Engineering department in new equipment installation and existing equipment modifications.
• Responsible for the basic programming of PLC’s and related equipment.
• Responsible for coordinating with the production and converting departments, on proper time to efficiently repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate with and carry out the jobs assigned to the electrical department with the Plant Engineer.
• Responsible for standby call, for equipment problems at night and weekends on a rotating basis.
• Additional job functions as defined by management.

7:00-7:00 with rotating schedule and weekends.

Starting pay:

$24.00+/hour depending on experience
