Job summary

Dairy Challenge in Frederick, MD seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned and unplanned repairs on production and packaging equipment, along with related utility systems. You will participate in preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues, and support new equipment installations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, reading schematics, and collaborating with operators to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/Technical school preferred in electrical, mechanical, welding, refrigeration, or related areas.
• 2–4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment and assist operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders timely while maintaining high quality standards.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain documentation of repairs and procedures per SOPs.
• Stay up to date on equipment, processes, and improvement opportunities.
